Finding your forms
Forms assigned to your account appear in the Data Collection section of the portal. Each form card shows the form name and its current status.1
Navigate to Data Collection
Select Data Collection from the left-hand navigation menu. The page lists every form linked to your account.
2
Locate the form you need
Browse the list or use the search field to filter by form name. Each card shows the form’s display name and how many submissions have been recorded.
3
Open the form
Click the form card or select Open to load the form wizard. The wizard may span multiple pages — a progress indicator at the top shows where you are.
If a form you expect to see is not listed, contact your account administrator. Forms are enabled per account and may not all be visible to every user.
Answering questions
NCZ forms support several question types. The way you interact with each one differs slightly.- Text and textarea
- Number
- Date
- Dropdown and select
- File upload
- Table
Type your answer directly into the input field. Short text fields suit single-line answers such as names or reference numbers. Textarea fields accept longer free-form responses. If the field has a character limit, a counter below the field shows how many characters remain.
Required vs optional fields
Required fields are marked with a red asterisk (*) next to the label. You cannot submit the form until all required fields contain a valid value. Optional fields can be left blank.
Saving your progress
You do not need to complete the entire form in one session. Use the Save Draft button at the bottom of any page to save your current answers without submitting.1
Click Save Draft
Select Save Draft at any point. A confirmation message confirms the save was successful.
2
Return later
Navigate away from the form. Your answers are stored against your submission record and will be waiting when you return.
3
Resume editing
Open the form again from the Data Collection list. The form loads in edit mode with your previously saved answers pre-filled.
Draft submissions are not visible to your assessor until you submit. Save drafts as often as you like without affecting your submission status.
Submitting the form
Once you have answered all required fields and are satisfied with your responses, submit the form to send it for assessment.1
Review your answers
Scroll through each page of the form and check that all fields are complete and accurate. The form wizard highlights any pages that still contain validation errors.
2
Click Submit
Select the Submit button on the final page. The portal runs a final validation pass across all fields.
3
Confirm submission
If validation passes, a success message confirms that your submission has been recorded. The form switches to read-only view mode.
Editing a previous submission
If your submission is in draft status, you can reopen it and continue editing at any time.1
Find the submission
Go to Data Collection and locate the form. Submissions in draft status show a Draft badge.
2
Open for editing
Click Edit on the submission card. The form loads with your saved answers.
3
Make your changes
Update any fields, then either save another draft or submit when ready.
Viewing a submitted form
Submitted forms are available in read-only mode so you can refer back to what you entered.1
Locate the submission
Go to Data Collection and find the form. Submitted records show a Submitted status badge.
2
Open for viewing
Click View. The form opens in view mode — all fields are visible but cannot be edited.
Read-only mode shows the exact answers recorded at the time of submission, including any values that were auto-calculated by the form engine.
